The WMA Open invites members of the public to submit themed images and engage in discussions. Each year, a theme is selected and this year it is “Mobility”.
The WMA Open was created to serve as a public platform for discussion and a springboard for social transformation. To continue the conversations sparked by the submissions, the contest maintains a gallery of entries that are accessible for educational and non-commercial uses under Creative Commons licenses. The submissions also document the photographic history of contemporary Hong Kong.
This year, 19 images were shortlisted by current and former WMA Masters finalists Kurt Tong and Johnny Gin. Members of the public are invited to vote for their favourite image during the voting period: 14 April - 14 May.
